The first breath under water
Step 1
Introduction Dive
Together with an enthusiastic instructor, you will discover the basics of diving in one session. We start with an hour of theory, then you dive into the pool to get used to the underwater feeling. Afterwards, there will be time to chat with your fellow divers over a drink.
The cost is only €20 per person, and if you want to continue with the Open Water course afterwards, you will get this amount back in full as a discount on the course!
In winter, we do the introductory dives in the UT's indoor pool, and in summer we do them in the outdoor pool. You only need to bring your swimwear and a towel, that's all you need!

Step 2
Open Water Course
Together with an enthusiastic instructor, you will discover the basics of diving in one session. We start with an hour of theory, then you dive into the pool to get used to the underwater feeling. Afterwards, there will be time to chat with your fellow divers over a drink.
Got the hang of it? Then the next step is an Open Water course. This course ensures you have all the knowledge and skills you need to dive safely on your own with a buddy. This is a worldwide recognised certification, after this course the real adventure begins!
The Open Water course consists of six pool lessons. These lessons are held on different evenings during the week, this is often on Tuesday evenings. You also go through theory independently, and we offer another theory evening to discuss everything.
To complete the course, you will also make six open water dives in the Netherlands. We do these dives during our summer season, which runs from early May to late October.
But don't worry, we can also dive in winter, when we offer lessons in the diving tower and indoor pool.

Step 3
Specialties
Do you already have an open water certification, or did you get one with us? Then you can expand your skills by taking specialties. We offer many different specialties, from mainly theoretical specialties to the first steps to becoming a diving instructor. Sometimes you also need certain specialties to go on diving weekends or trips. These can often be taken during the weekend. Specialties can be purchased via the webshop, and are scheduled in Amazone.
